Lizzie Shepherd is a British landscape, nature, and travel photographer based in North Yorkshire, whose work is deeply rooted in long walks, careful observation, and a quiet attentiveness to place. Rather than chasing spectacle, she gravitates toward subtle light, shifting weather, and the overlooked details that give landscapes their emotional weight and sense of presence.
Her photography often reflects a strong connection to the British countryside, shaped by a practice that values patience and immersion over immediacy. Shepherd’s images balance atmosphere and structure, conveying both the mood of a location and the experience of being there—standing, waiting, and watching as light and landscape slowly align.
Alongside her photographic work, she is also an educator and writer, sharing her knowledge through workshops, talks, and mentoring. Teaching is not treated as a parallel career but as an extension of her own practice, encouraging others to slow down, see more deeply, and develop a personal, thoughtful relationship with the landscapes they photograph.
