Peter Fisher, born in 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia, is a freelance photographer and former digital photo editor for The New Yorker. He graduated from the University of Colorado’s film studies program in 2014 and later completed the Documentary and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography in New York in 2019. His work has been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, TIME, Outside Magazine, AFAR, National Geographic, and The New York Times.
His photography focuses on American life and the human relationship with the natural world. His projects include End of Zoos, Kremlin Swim Club, Python Hunters, and Simulacra. He has exhibited his work both in the U.S. and internationally, and is based in Brooklyn, New York.
