Romeu Marques (b. 1981) is a Portuguese photographer based in Caldas da Rainha, known for his light paintings, abstract landscapes, and experimental in-camera work. Balancing freelance work for small businesses and product photography, his primary focus lies in the development of a distinctive artistic practice.
His evolving body of work is defined by abstract landscapes, created through intentional camera movement (ICM) and long exposure techniques, all captured in a single exposure.
Alongside this, he is developing a multi-exposure series that reimagines mundane objects, challenging conventional perspectives and inviting new ways of seeing. Committed entirely to in-camera techniques, his ongoing series and daily photographic practice are steadily shaping his path as an image-based artist.
