Scott Bentley received an MA from UC San Diego and an MFA from Mills College. He lives in the Bay Area and teaches writing at CSU East Bay.
All Around Noise: Studies in Framing, Synecdoche and Juxtaposition is his first book of photographs.
Bentley is also the author of four poetry collections: The Occasional Tables, Ground Air, Out of Hand and EDGE; and the e-book for children, Our Imaginary Friends. His work has appeared in several journals and the anthologies The Body Electric and Sex Still Spoken Here.
Bentley’s photographs have been exhibited in San Francisco (Accident & Artifact), Hayward (CSU East Bay), San Luis Obispo (Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden), San Diego (Healing Spirit Gallery and Mystic Mocha), and Humboldt (Redwood Art Association and Humboldt State University).

Such an interesting interview. Clear-eyed and eye-opening. The photographs compelling and satisfying at the same time. For me they teeter between fine art and design, tumbling over themselves to create a unique way of perceiving the world through color photography. And yes, poetry!
