Timothy Hogan is a tabletop director and multi-faceted photographer based in Ojai, California. With decades of experience behind the camera, Hogan is known for his technical precision and stylish aesthetic. He is sought after by top agencies and brands worldwide, who appreciate his innovative in-camera techniques and ability to cover a diverse range of subject matter, both in the studio and out in the field.
A lifelong maker and inventor, Timothy’s curiosity for understanding how things work enables him to create elegant solutions to the most complex requests. His work has been recognized in well known publications including Communication Arts, Graphis, and the British Journal of Photography. He has been a featured speaker at Photokina, a panelist at IMA’s Impact Conference, and a teacher at Shoot LA and at his alma mater, Syracuse University.
Timothy’s current obsession is motion control and technology for tabletop film production. Utilizing advanced high-speed cameras, cutting edge robotics, and custom special effects, his team translates his sophisticated vision to the moving image.
Tim is an avid outdoorsman who loves surfing and snowboarding in his downtime. When he’s not exploring nature, he’s in his woodshop, designing and building furniture or renovating his latest Airbnb.
