“Untitled” by Pierre Lemieux

It was at the end of winter. I was walking with a friend through my neighborhood and suddenly these two bushes wrapped for the winter in some red plastic net caught my eye.

I usually don’t go out with a specific idea to take photos but simply to take a long walk. I carry my camera with me most of the time and even when I am talking with other people, my eyes scan everything around me, looking for something interesting to photograph. When I see something that speaks to me, without analyzing it too much and simply reacting to my gut feeling, I stop and take a picture.

I am, among others, attracted to lost items, abandoned chairs and furniture… the subjects are infinite even if I walk the same streets again and again. There is always something exciting to photograph.

What do you think are the TWO most impactful features that make your image a good photograph? Don’t be shy!

The graphic simplicity of it. Symmetry with complementary colors on a white background and the touch of humor.

If you would be able to make this photo once again, what would be the ONE thing you would like to do better or different?

Nothing really. Just hope to be lucky again!
