FRAMES invites you to a special gathering.
September 27/28/29, Friday through Sunday, we are going to gather in New York City for an extraordinary dive into street photography in one of the planet’s most iconic cities.
Three days of exploring, fellowship, learning from each other and challenging each other. Three days of generating new images, giving and receiving critique, and pushing your photography into new ideas and ways of seeing.
Led by FRAMES editor Tomasz Trzebiatowski, along with Contributing Editor W. Scott Olsen, the FRAMES gathering will spread out over New York and visit well-known and much-photographed places such as Central Park, Times Square, Greenwich Village, the Staten Island Ferry, 5th Avenue, the Oculus, the Dumbo streets of Brooklyn, and also a thousand places that have no names but get to the heart of a vibrant photographic practice and life.
We partnered with Foto Care, one of the most iconic photography stores in New York City, for this event. They recently celebrated 50 years in the photography business, and we could not be happier to start our Friday and Saturday FRAMES gatherings at their store, located at 41 W 22nd St.
In Addition: A Secret Guest!
New York is filled with famous street photographers whose experience and insights can move us well beyond the expected and familiar. One of these photographers, an artist with a world-class reputation and following, will join the FRAMES gathering on Saturday. We’re not going to say who (anticipation is everything!), but we trust you will be surprised and deeply impressed.
Online review session
One week after the event has concluded, we will meet for a dedicated online photo review session, where we will thoroughly discuss the images you created during the event.
One more thing…
In addition to practicing and improving our own photography, we will also look at some of the images being exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) photography department. Entry to MoMA is already included in your FRAMES event fee.
The cost for this three-day experience is $795 USD.
This does not include transportation, food, or lodging.
