Bill Armstrong is a New York-based fine art photographer renowned for his Infinity series, where he creates dreamlike, blurred images by photographing with his camera set to infinity focus. His work, inspired by art history, spirituality, and color theory, transforms photography into a medium for exploring abstraction and impermanence, earning him international acclaim.
His images have been exhibited in prominent institutions such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum and are part of many public and private collections. A Bowdoin College graduate, Armstrong also teaches at the International Center of Photography and the School of Visual Arts, sharing his expertise with new generations of artists.
Through exhibitions, monographs, and teaching, Armstrong has established himself as a visionary in contemporary photography. His innovative approach challenges perceptions, encouraging audiences to embrace the intangible and redefining the boundaries of photographic art.
